Stowe, Vermont October Elopement (with dogs + cabin vibes)
hot off the press
Hi, I'm Renee
Photographer & Elopement Co-Pilot
I create romantic, true-to-color images with a cinematic edge—and I’m here to keep your elopement day unhurried and wildly you. Think sunrise light, windswept coastlines, forest trails, and plenty of room for the candid stuff to happen. I’ll help you pick spots, plan a timeline, and enjoy the ride. Dogs encouraged.
Weekdays > weekends for privacy, easier permits, and happy vendor calendars. Sunrise lovers, you’re my people—especially in Acadia.
Meet Lindsey and James – My warm and adorable couple who eloped in Stowe Vermont, Fall 2025. Read below to see what they did on their day:
Lindsey and James are a couple who met because of their love of animals. Lindsey spotted James first, noticing how well he cared for his fur kids. Match made in heaven – Lindsey is a horse girl, dog owner and ready for pot bellied pigs in the next year. These two are home bodies, loving projects together and hitting up local trails and cute down coffee joints. Stowe felt uncomplicated, slower paced with all the epic views they craved. There perfect Vermont elopement spot.
“We’re so grateful to Renee for helping us plan the most amazing day and capture the most incredible, in-the-moment photos that bring back the happiest memories of my life. You’ve been there for us, cheering us on and supporting us on our special day. You truly went above and beyond, Renee🫶🏻” – Lindsey & James, Stowe Vermont 2025
This Stowe elopement was proof that the “getting ready” part of the day can be the whole vibe—not just a pit stop.
Instead of rushing through a hotel room, they built their morning around a cozy cabin: soft light through the windows, wood floors, the steady comfort of being in a space that felt like them… and two dogs who fully believed they were the honorary wedding party.
The kind of elopement getting-ready moments you can’t fake
The best stories are the tiny ones:
the dog stretched out on the floor like they paid rent
the playful tug-of-war energy while final touches were happening
the groom doing that quiet “okay, deep breath” moment while holding his jacket
the bride stepping into her dress in the doorway, taking one second to feel it all
These are the moments that make your gallery feel like a memory—not a photoshoot.
Vermont Wedding day First look, but make it cozy
Their first look happened right inside the cabin—bright windows, warm wood tones, and that instant shift when you see your person and everything else goes quiet for a second. It was intimate, real, and honestly? One of the best ways to keep an elopement day grounded.
Yes, the dogs were included throughout the elopement day
If you’re the kind of couple who can’t imagine your day without your dog(s)… same. They worked the dogs into the flow naturally—sniffing the dress train, hanging near the windows, popping into portraits, and basically supervising the whole operation.
A Stowe elopement tip (from someone who’s seen it all)
If you want your photos to feel honest and not staged, give yourself time in one “home base” location (like this cabin). It lets you settle in, get comfortable, and actually experience your day—then we can go chase the epic scenery without feeling like we’re sprinting through it.
Planning your own Stowe elopement?
If you’re dreaming up a Stowe elopement in October (peak cozy season), I’ll help you build a timeline that feels unrushed, dog-friendly, and centered on the stuff you’ll actually care about later.
Tell me your vibe (light hike or off-road adventure, town stops or tidepools) and I’ll build a calm, done-with-you timeline around it. I photograph across New England and Iceland with flexible packages and travel dates.
